1980s - had extended his compaign for campaign for treating avoidable eye disease


1989 - was diaganosed with cancer


1990 - was awarded


1992 - was established foundation


1993 - died

Fred Maynard

1879 - was born at Hinton


1914 -  had become a wharf labourer in Sydney


Early 1920s -  made a public protest against the assault on aboriginal rights


early 1925s- helped with others the aboriginal families at Nambucca


1925 - launched the Australain aboriginal progressive Asssociation


1928  - married with methodist forms Minnie critchley


1930 - got injured and made him difficult to work


 1946-  died at the mental hospital in Rydalmere and was burried at Rookwood
